Write once, publish everywhere
Share and re-useYet another benefit of Webby's content management heritage is the ability to share and re-use information. If your Webby license includes multiple publication formats, you can share pages of content that you've written for one publication (say a website), in a completely separate publication (say a printed pricelist, or a newsletter). No copy and paste required. This means that when it comes time to update a page in the newsletter or pricelist, you only have to do it in one place. When you republish, your changes will be reflected in every publication that shares the page. Publish to the web, or anywhere else you can imagineThe number of different Webby publication formats is practically limitless. Out-of-the-box, Webby supports html (for the web, of course) and pdf (Adobe's portable document format, also known as 'Acrobat'). There's also an XML publication for easy transfer of your content into other systems. If these aren't enough, Webby's publication engine uses an open standard language called XSL to define different publication formats. This means that it's a simple matter for anyone who knows XSL to write a new publication for you. Of course, we would be happy to help with that too.
